eLearning Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

eLearning Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

Specialty Description 20 minutes prior to boat departure. Minimum age 12. Minimum Open Water Diver. Student must first complete the eLearning academic portion of the Enriched Air course via PADI.com prior to arriving at Stuart Cove’s. After checking in for your 2-tank dive trip (purchased separately), your instructor will look over your academic records for the course and then show you how the oxygen analyzer works. The instructor will then show you how to analyze your Nitrox tank (purchased separately) and then give you an opportunity to analyze your own tank.

Part 2: Finish eLearning Specialty Course at Stuart Cove’s

When you arrive at Stuart Cove’s you will meet one of our friendly instructors to review your course paperwork and take a short quiz. Immediately following you will go out on the 2-tank dive boat to complete the Ocean dives.

eLearning Deep Diver

eLearning Deep Diver Includes Three Dives

Specialty Description 2 half days, 3 dives. Student must first complete the eLearning academic portion of the Deep Diver course via PADI.com prior to arriving at Stuart Cove’s. Minimum age 15 years and a minimum Adventure diver who has done the Deep Adventure dive or Advance Open Water. Learn about deep dive planning and organization, hazards to avoid and deep diving support equipment.

eLearning U/W Navigator Includes Three Dives

Specialty Description 2 half days. 3 dives. Minimum age 10 years and minimum Open Water diver. Student must first complete the eLearning academic portion of the U/W Navigator course via PADI.com prior to arriving at Stuart Cove’s. Learn natural navigation, how to use a compass with precision, patterns that aid navigation and navigation instruments. Learn how to find your way around a dive site and find your way back to the boat.

Specialty Description 2 half days, 4 dives. Minimum age 15 years and minimum Adventure Diver. Learn techniques for exploring shipwrecks and how to avoid common hazards, wreck scuba diving equipment considerations and wreck penetration techniques.

eLearning Search & Recovery Includes Four Dives

Specialty Description 2 half days, 4 dives. Minimum age 12 years and minimum Advance Open Water Diver. Student must first complete the eLearning academic portion of the Search & Recovery course via PADI.com prior to arriving at Stuart Cove’s. Learn search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and how to deal with potential problems as well as how to locate large and small objects using search patterns and how to use a lift bag. Additionally learn about limited visibility search techniques.

Emergency First Response (EFR) Provider

Emergency First Response (EFR) Provider Theory only

Specialty Description 1 day. Theory only. No minimum age and no dive certification required. Course consists of two parts- Primary Care & Secondary Care. EFR Primary care (CPR) teaches you how to deal with life-threatening injuries. Secondary Care covers injuries or illness and includes knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice. Optional skills include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen use.
