Discover Scuba Diving Course

If you have ever wanted to try SCUBA diving – Nassau is the perfect place. In just 3 hours you get up to speed and enjoy your first dive alongside your professional instructor. This course is a quick and simple learn to dive program. People who have never tried diving before can, in a matter of an hour, be on a boat and enjoying their first scuba experience. Included in this course is a short lecture, water skills practice (pool or beach), and a 1-tank boat dive with your instructor as your buddy. Your Resort Course includes the use of all diving equipment except a wetsuit.  The boat you will travel on includes ice and fresh drinking water. Excludes: Wetsuit ($12 rental), snacks, other beverages besides water and tips to crew.

Discover Scuba Course 2nd Day

This is a continuation of the original Discover Scuba Diving Course. After completing the Resort Course, new divers can come back a second day and do a 2-tank boat trip with an instructor or divemaster as their buddy. Your Resort Course includes the use of all diving equipment except a wetsuit.  The boat you will travel on includes ice and fresh drinking water. Excludes: Wetsuit ($12 rental), snacks, other beverages besides water and tips to crew.

If you have ever wanted to try SCUBA diving – Nassau is the perfect place. In just 3 hours you get up to speed and enjoy your first dive alongside your professional instructor. Scuba Diving at Stuart Cove’s is fun and easy! Our Introduction to Scuba Diving course is designed for people who want to try scuba diving for the first time. In just 3 hours our professional instructors will have you diving with them on a beautiful tropical reef. Your program begins with a short presentation that teaches you about the basics of diving, followed by practicing scuba diving skills in a pool or shallow beach area. Then it’s onto a boat for your first dive on a shallow reef. During this dive your instructor will guide you on your first introduction to the Bahamas’ magnificent underwater world.

Discover Scuba Diving Course Description

Participant Requirements:

• 10 years of age • Good physical health. • Cannot be pregnant, no asthma, no epilepsy, no diabetes, no personal history of heart attacks or heart problems, strokes, no recently diagnosed High Blood pressure, no antidepressant medications or other potential contraindicated medications, no problems equalizing your ears on an airplane or in the mountains. • Young children must be of adequate size to fit into the equipment and capable of carrying a 40 pound tank on their back. • Children under the age of 18 must participate with a parent or guardian. • Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on vessel.

Complete Open Water Certification Program (On-Island)

The beginning course for everyone who wants to earn their lifetime certification as a diver This is the initial certification course for all divers. Included in this program are academic presentations, confined water (pool or shallow ocean) sessions where you learn the skills and techniques of diving, and finally, actual boat diving in the open waters of the crystal clear Bahamian waters.

Referral Dives to Complete Open Water Certification

The beginning course for everyone who wants to earn their lifetime certification as a diver New divers who have already completed their classroom and confined water course requirements at their home may present a Referral Letter and complete their Open Water dives in our warm tropical environment. Upon successful completion of the open water dives the diver will be awarded their Open Water Certification. Referrals are accepted from PADI, Universal Referral System, & Global Referral System. Prerequisite: Completion of Classroom & Pool Training for Scuba Certification.

Certification Courses
In order to participate in Stuart Cove’s Advanced Open Water Dive Certification Course, you must meet these minimum qualifications: Prerequisites • At least 15 Years Old (12 years old for Jr. Advanced Certification) • Good Physical Health • Open Water Certification -or- Jr Open Water Certification • Complete Medical Questionnaire • Children under the age of 18 must participate with a parent or guardian. • Children under the age of 4 are not permitted onboard vessel. • PADI eLearners: Satisfactory completion of the PADI eLearning Course

ReActivate™ Your Certification with a PADI Scuba Review!

If it has been at least three years since you have been diving or if you do not feel confident or comfortable with your skills or equipment, this program is for you. Do your Scuba Review with us in the sunny Bahamas at the start of your diving vacation!! Our refresher includes a pool session AND an Open Water Dive at one of our beautiful shallow dive sites to get you comfortable and ready to do more dives with us!
Part 1: Signup and Complete eLearning with PADI
First, complete ReActivate Touch or ReActivate Online: Scuba Tune-Up The program begins with following the link where you register with PADI for the online course. There is a fee from PADI for the course paid directly to them of $65 (USD).

Part 2: Finish Scuba Review Course at Stuart Cove’s
Second, book online, call or email Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas to schedule your half day Pool/Open Water Dive session. When you arrive at Stuart Cove’s you will meet one of our friendly instructors to review your course paperwork and take a short quiz. Immediately following you will begin the practical sessions for the Rescue Diver Course.
In the water, your PADI Professional will help you regain comfort and confidence in scuba diving. You’ll practice a few safety-related skills and then go over anything you specifically want to review. After the pool session you will go on an Open Water dive on one of our beautiful shallow dive sites with a PADI Professional!
