In light of the rapid roll out of world wide COVID vaccines, The Islands of The Bahamas recently announced streamlined entry protocols that will enable visitors to better and more seamlessly enjoy The Bahamas vacation experience. For detailed information regarding the new requirements please visit https://www.bahamas.com/travelupdates

Acquiring a Health Travel Visa is required in order to gain entry into The Bahamas.  All visitors will be required to opt-in to mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when applying for their Health Travel Visa. Should a visitor test positive for COVID and be forced to quarantine, the insurance will cover travelers for the duration of their stay in The Bahamas.  Please visit https://www.travel.gov.bs/ for your Health Visa Application and information.  Persons experiencing issues with completing/submitting the travel health visa application should call 1-242-502-0839 or email [email protected].

Currently, the United States does require proof of a negative COVID test in order to travel into the country. You will need to get tested no more than 3 days prior to traveling by air into the United States and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel). Covid testing is readily available in Nassau, Bahamas, making it easy to meet this requirement.
